NECATI has two statutory instruments operating concurrently with S.I 240 covering Air Zimbabwe only whilst S.I 55 covers all the other operators in the Air Transport Industry. To promote standardisation of terms and conditions of work within the industry, NECATI is engaged in the process of combining the two statutory instruments into one. The process is expected to be finalised early next year. Once finalised, this Collective Bargaining Agreement will ensure uniformity of terms and conditions of work in the Air Transport industry and there will be inevitable changes that companies need to brace for considering the existing disparities in statutory instruments 55 of 1992 and 240 of 1992.
Harmonisation of Statutory Instruments 55 of 1992 and 240 of 1992 (Collective Bargaining Agreement) is in its finalisation stage awaiting full Council approval.
